Crewyard legal
Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 31, 2026
This is a general template for informational purposes and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It is not legal advice and may not cover every requirement that applies to your business or location.
1. What this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how Crewyard collects and handles information when you use our AI back office for home-service shops, including tools for booking, dispatch, quotes, invoicing, and review replies. “Crewyard,” “we,” or “us” means the Crewyard service operated through this website and app.
When a shop uses Crewyard, the shop is generally the party deciding what customer or business information to enter into the service. In those situations, the shop is responsible for its notices and instructions to its customers, and Crewyard processes that information to provide the shop’s requested features.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with Crewyard, we may collect:
- Account and contact details, such as your name, email address, business name, phone number, and login information.
- Business operations information, such as service areas, schedules, team assignments, job details, quotes, invoices, notes, and booking information.
- Customer and lead information that a shop chooses to manage in Crewyard, such as names, contact details, service requests, appointment details, and message history.
- Content you submit, including review-reply drafts, instructions, uploaded text, and feedback.
- Device and usage information, such as browser type, approximate location derived from an IP address, pages viewed, and interactions with the service.
- Information you provide when you contact us or participate in a demo, support conversation, or other business communication.
3. How we use information
We may use information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve Crewyard and its workflows.
- Process bookings, dispatch details, quotes, invoices, reminders, and other actions requested by the shop.
- Generate AI-assisted drafts, suggestions, summaries, and classifications requested by a user.
- Authenticate users, protect the service, prevent misuse, and troubleshoot errors.
- Respond to questions, send service communications, and provide support.
- Understand usage trends and improve reliability, features, and documentation.
- Meet legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
4. Sharing and service providers
We may share information with vendors and service providers that help us host, secure, analyze, communicate about, or operate Crewyard. These providers may process information only as needed to perform services for us or as otherwise permitted by their agreements.
Crewyard may send relevant text or other inputs to an AI processing provider to produce requested assistance. AI output is generated for the shop’s use and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable without human review. We do not represent that every provider or processing location will be the same forever, and we may update our providers as the service changes.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, in connection with a business transaction, or with your direction. We do not sell personal information in exchange for money as that term is commonly understood.
5. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Crewyard, support the shop’s account, resolve disputes, maintain business and security records, comply with legal obligations, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by the type of information and the shop’s account status. A shop may need to export or request deletion of its data before closing an account.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Crewyard may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for login, security, preferences, and basic operation. We may also use limited analytics or similar tools to understand how the service is used. Your browser may let you manage cookies, but disabling necessary cookies can affect functionality.
7. Customer responsibilities
Shops should collect and use information lawfully, provide any notices required for their customers and staff, maintain accurate records, and avoid entering information they do not have permission to share. Shops are responsible for reviewing AI-generated assistance, confirming booking and financial details, and choosing whether to send or publish any generated text.
8. Rights and choices
Depending on where you live and your relationship with a Crewyard customer, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or information about processing. Requests about information controlled by a shop should generally be directed to that shop first. You may contact us for questions about information we control or to ask us to route a request to the appropriate customer.
9. Children
Crewyard is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly request personal information from children under the age required by applicable law. If you believe a child provided information to us, please contact us so we can evaluate and remove it where appropriate.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Crewyard or applicable requirements change. We will post the revised version and update the date above. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice through the service or by email when appropriate.
